Hello, and welcome to the Skaianet forums!
The mods here at Skaianet hope you enjoy your stay here. In order to make the forums as fun and safe as possible, we have a few rules listed below that members need to follow.
Rule 1. Do not harass other members and do not be unnecessarily rude on the forums. If you are going to come here just to harass people for fun, this is not the place for you. Harassment includes but is not limited to personally insulting members, PMing them rude or hurtful messages, etcetera. Harassment also includes off-site harassment. If we find out you are using these forums to find people to harass via Skype, you -will- be banned, no exceptions.
Rule 2. Sexually-themed roleplay is not allowed here. ProBoards policy takes a hard line stance on sexual content on their forums. Do not post explicit sexual images on this forum, or sexual text. Do not, period. If you break this rule, you will get one warning. Your thread/post will be removed and you may receive a temporary ban. The second strike will mean a permanent ban.
Rule 3. Don't godmod. Seriously. It is not fun, and ruins roleplay for everyone. Do not bring blatantly overpowered characters onto the forums, do not try to godmod in roleplays. You can be warned for this, and if it becomes a real issue, you can be banned.
Addendum: If you have an issue with someone's character- I.E., their character is overpowered or is making the roleplay unenjoyable- message the mods. If it's necessary to talk to someone in a thread about it, use the Critique Thread's guidelines on critique here.
Rule 4. Roleplayers who open RPs have the right to deny applicants based on application quality, the capacity of the roleplay, and their own personal discretion. This seems obvious, but it does need to be said! If someone declines your application for a roleplay, do not harass them about it. The DM of the roleplay may decide to let you fix up your application and reapply- they may not. Be respectful in either case.
Rule 5. Do not spam the forums or link malicious sites on this forum. Spamming would refer to placing advertisements on the forums, linking external websites without a clear goal (linking someone to your Imgur gallery of fanart, for example, would not fall under this rule), knowingly linking dangerous software or malware, etc etc. This can constitute an insta-ban.
More rules may be added if it's shown that they're necessary. All of the offenses above are bannable offenses- it is up to the moderators' discretion whether or not they should ban or warn a member of the forums.
If you think you've been banned unfairly, feel free to message a moderator or admin and tell them- this does not equate to constantly messaging the moderators and harassing them over a ban. If the moderators decide to not overturn the ban, you are banned.
HOW DO I REPORT?
Simple! Look at the little gear on a post and click it- 'Report Post' will be listed as an option. Click 'Report Post'. Tada! If this won't suffice, you can PM one of our moderators.
Thank you all preemptively for keeping Skaianet a safe place for everyone. If you have any concerns about the site or the rules, feel free to message me here on the forums!
